Eco-graffiti art on the retaining walls, across Kalamata – Sparta National Road
Within the framework of the Foundation’s program for the broader region of Taygetos, in 2008, environmental graffiti art was painted across the retaining walls on Kalamata – Sparta National Road. This project, started in the summer of 2008, was an initiative of Board member Panagiotis Alexeas. The head of the project is twenty-seven-year-old, Costas Louzis. A farmer by profession, a band member of the LowBap group “Silencio”, and self-taught in the art of painting, Louzis originates from the loval village of Kallianeika, Avia. Through his beautiful graffiti art, Louzis conveys though-provoking pro-environmental messages and raises awareness for issues directly affecting Taygetos, to the peoples of Alagonia, Messinia and travelers passing by.
